The Aseptic Story

Nick Sprague with the new juice bag-in-box

We've introduced our patented juice bag-in-box style container (see pic right) which works very much like a wine box, using a self-sealing tap. With this facility we're able to aseptically package our pure juices in 3, 5, 10 or even 20 litre quantities.

As part of the aseptic packaging system, bags are opened, filled and sealed in one continuous process which utilises steam sterilising. This results in the bags remaining totally sterile on the inside and we are then able to gently pasteurise our juices.

The direct impact of this is extended shelf lives. In comparison to a standard opened tetra pack, which has a refrigerated shelf life of approximately 3-4 days, the new packaging offered by us provides a 21 day opened and refrigerated shelf life. So, for catering establishments with menus changing on a weekly basis, this is real breakthrough offering huge reductions in waste.

All of the aseptic juice box containers have been designed to fit in any commercial or domestic fridge and are currently available in:

traditional orange
natural cloudy apple
naturally fresh pineapple
grapefruit
apple and mango
apple and English damson

...as well as a host of bespoke recipes for individual catering establishments.
