A Lucky Poltimore couple won’t have to worry about running out of drinks for the grandkids after winning the Juicebox jackpot.

Michael Fisher and his wife Patricia say they are thrilled to be able to offer their grandchildren an unlimited supply of mouth watering fresh fruit juice and smoothies for the next year, after winning a competition held by Exeter company Frobishers Juicebox.

The couple said they are certain they will never get fed up with the 100% pure juice as their family will all be popping in for drinks on a regular basis, and there’s plenty to go round. Frobishers will be delivering a box per week for the next year, totalling a thirst quenching 260 litres.

The competition at last month’s Exeter Festival of Food and Drink involved guessing the number of pieces of fruit in a jar. 

Michael said: “We’re delighted to have won the competition. The juice is refreshing and they are great blends, particularly the apple and raspberry. It’s such a generous prize and I would just like to wish the company all the success for the future.”

Patricia said: “Our grandchildren live just next door and we look after them twice a week. They absolutely love fruit juice and it’s a great way of helping all of us to get our 5-a-day.”

Grandchildren Emily and Harry Baty were waiting eagerly with their grandparents for the first delivery. Emily, 10, said: “I’m looking forward to trying the apple and raspberry flavour. I think it will be the nicest.”

Harry, 8, said: “When we run out of juice that will be really bad. I will be nearly 10!”
